The work explores the experience of having two strong ideas of home that hold great love and meaning but are geographically separated. By drawing comparisons between the places, mimicking the imagery of one place with the other I wish to show the connections that pinpoint us to a place, the things that make a place a home and the way these connections are strained when separated from them. By placing myself in the middle of both homes I hope to show the way that one cannot be fully embraced without the absence of the other. The discovery of what makes a home and the fondness I hold for them is contrasted by my absence due to the displacement this can cause. Fy ngwlad, my country. A tale of two homes.
